*Portage Lake Residents can now renew their vehicle registrations ONLINE at  https://www1.maine.gov/online/bmv/rapid-renewal/. You must have your current vehicle registration and current insurance information for this service. There is a fee, and instructions are there on that site.

May 15: Regular Selectboard Meeting @ 6 pm, Town Hall conference room

May 18: Town Clean Up Day, sponsored by Portage Lakers ATV Club. Meet at Town Hall at 9 am.

May 21:  5:45 pm: Public Hearing to discuss the Portage Hills Country Club renewal of its special amusement permit

               6 pm: Public Hearing to discuss leasing 5 acres of joint owned land on Mill Road to Portage Lakers Snowmobile Club for a new clubhouse & groomer shed. The proposed lease is for 99 years. Visit the Town Office to view the proposed lease area.

               6:30 pm: Public Hearing to discuss the sale of a small piece of Portage Lake Public Beach on West Road near the northern drainage ditch to Wayne Gagnon, who is an abutting landowner. Visit the Town Office to view the proposed sale area.

                       7 pm: Special Selectboard Meeting to vote on the PHCC special amusement permit

May 20: Portage Lake Historical Society monthly meeting @ 6:30 pm at the Old Town Hall building on Cottage Road

May 23: School Budget Town Meeting @ 6 pm at the Portage Lake Municipal Building. All registered voters elligible to vote in Town affairs are encouraged to attend to vote on the school department budget for 2019-2020.

May 26: Memorial Day Parade @ 11 am, line-up at the Municipal Building

May 27: Town Office Closed in observance of Memorial Day
