Recycling in Portage Lake

Recycling options are available at the Town Hall campus at the back of the building, near the tennis courts where there are recycling igloos and a glass recycle bin. You can also take any of these recyclables to the Ashland Transfer Station and help us reduce the cost of the Town’s annual bill to them!

Items accepted for recycling include:

  • Milk jugs
  • #2 plastics (check the bottom of your container to ensure it is marked #2, not #1 or #5)
  • Newspapers
  • Magazines
  • Tin cans (please rinse before recycling)

Recycling helps reduce the amount of waste going into our landfills, so we encourage everyone to recycle whenever possible!

NOTE: You can recycle batteries at the Ashland Transfer Station.
